TiviMate Setup Guide 2026: The Complete Walkthrough

Published 18 February 2026

Why TiviMate?

TiviMate has become the gold standard for IPTV players — and for good reason:

  • Polished UI designed specifically for TV screens
  • Full EPG integration with catch-up support
  • Multiple playlists (great if you have a trial and active subscription)
  • Parental lock for individual channels or categories
  • Recording support in the Premium version
  • Low memory footprint — doesn't slow down older Firestick models

This guide covers both the free version (sufficient for most users) and the Premium upgrade.

Installing TiviMate on Firestick

TiviMate isn't on the Amazon Appstore, so you'll sideload it using the Downloader app.

Step 1: Enable Developer Mode

  1. Go to Settings > My Fire TV > Developer Options
  2. Turn on ADB Debugging and Apps from Unknown Sources

Step 2: Install Downloader

  1. Search for Downloader in the Amazon Appstore
  2. Install and open it
  3. Go to Settings and enable Allow this source to install apps

Step 3: Download TiviMate

  1. In the Downloader URL bar, enter: https://tivimate.com
  2. Navigate to the download section and get the latest APK
  3. Tap Install when prompted
  4. Select Open to launch TiviMate immediately

Installing TiviMate on Android

  1. Open Google Play Store
  2. Search TiviMate IPTV Player
  3. Install the free version (Premium is available as an in-app purchase)

Adding Your YAS4K Playlist

  1. Open TiviMate
  2. Tap Add Playlist on the welcome screen
  3. Select M3U Playlist
  4. Tap Enter URL and paste your M3U link (from your WhatsApp setup message)
  5. Name it YAS4K and tap Add

TiviMate will now fetch your channels and EPG data. This takes 30–90 seconds on a fast connection.

Configuring EPG

The EPG gives you a full 7-day schedule across all channels.

  1. Go to Settings > EPG
  2. Enable Auto-update EPG — set to every 12 hours
  3. If prompted for an XMLTV URL, leave it blank — YAS4K includes EPG data in the M3U

Setting Up Your Favourite Channels

Scrolling through 30,000+ channels every time is impractical. Build a favourites list:

  1. Find a channel you want to favourite
  2. Long-press it (hold for 1 second)
  3. Select Add to Favourites
  4. Create Groups to organise: Sports, Movies, News, etc.

Your favourites appear at the top of the channel list, instantly accessible.

Player Settings for Best Quality

Decoder

  • Settings > Player > Decoder: Hardware (MediaCodec)
  • This uses your device's chip for decoding — essential for smooth 4K

Buffer

  • Settings > Player > Buffer Size: 8–12 MB
  • Larger buffer = fewer interruptions but slightly more startup delay

Aspect Ratio

  • Press Options during playback
  • Set to Best Fit for most channels, or Full for cinema content

TiviMate Premium — Is It Worth It?

The free version covers everything most users need. Premium (€4.99 one-time) adds:

  • Multi-screen — watch 4 channels simultaneously (sports fan essential)
  • Recording — record channels directly to a USB drive
  • Parental controls per channel
  • Archive/Catch-up for channels that support it
  • Unlimited playlist count

If you're a sports fan who wants to monitor multiple games at once, Premium is a no-brainer.
